Gilda’s Club Middle Tennessee is honored to remain uniquely positioned to serve Middle Tennessee as the area’s premier leader in expert-level psychosocial cancer support, all at no charge to our community. Our vision is that everyone impacted by cancer receives the support they want and need throughout their experience.

We provide support and community to all people impacted by cancer, including family members and friends of those diagnosed. Often referred to by our participants as their “safety net,” our team of licensed social workers is entrusted to share a wealth of knowledge and provide a personalized level of care to anyone in Middle Tennessee.

Founded in 1821, the Nashville Academy of Medicine is Tennessee’s oldest medical society, and is widely recognized as the voice of organized medicine in Middle Tennessee. The Scarlett Family Foundation advocates, invests, and works to ensure that all students in Middle Tennessee have access to a high-quality education.

The Alzheimer’s Association is a nonprofit organization that serves 25,000 middle Tennesseans with Alzheimer’s dementia and related disorders, their family members, caregivers and healthcare professionals who turn to us for education programs, support services and resource information throughout the course of this progressive disease from early detection to end stage.

The mission of Communities In Schools of Tennessee is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. We are a part of the national Communities In Schools network, which is the leading dropout prevention organization in the country, and the only such organization that is proven to decrease the dropout rate and increase on-time graduation rates.

We connect people, opportunities, and resources to enrich and enhance the multi-faceted LGBTQ+ community. 

Our work is focused around models of collective impact to create a more inclusive community in Nashville and Middle Tennessee. Our initial programs will include: 

• Collective Impact Programming 
• Supportive and Wrap Around Services for 18-24 year old LGBTQ+ young adults
• Supportive Services for LGBTQ+ older adults 
• The development of comprehensive healthcare navigation tool with LGBTQ+ community members. 
• The development of a new LGBTQ+ community center.

Creating a healthy and resilient city demands that we create healthy and resilient neighborhoods. We need caretakers in every neighborhood striving to preserve and improve the place where they live. Metropolitan Nashville and Davidson County needs a greater pool of citizens, reflecting the diversity of their communities, who are knowledgeable and skilled in neighborhood organizing.

Since 1997, Neighbor 2 Neighbor (N2N) has equipped residents and neighborhood organizations with the tools they need to create better neighborhoods. Founded and led by neighborhood leaders, N2N is laser-focused on helping to form and sustain neighborhood organizations in order for residents to create positive changes right where they live. We do this by providing the following three essential services:

NEIGHBORHOOD LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT TRAINING: We provide participants with the skills, knowledge and attitudes necessary to become more actively engaged citizens and effective neighborhood leaders and organizers. Residents are able to participate in a range of leadership development programs such as, The Emerging Neighborhood Leadership Academy, Disaster Preparedness and Response Training, and Policy and Zoning 101. Instructional programming includes a minimum of 6 courses (3-12 hours each), 24 workshops and panel discussions, and over 44 facilitated dialogues and presentations. The in-person and virtual training sessions represent more than two hundred classroom hours each year. 

NETWORKING EVENTS AND COLLABORATIVE PROJECTS: We bring together neighbors, partners, and other key stakeholders to build trust relationships and collaborative alliances. Participants are able to meet new people with similar neighborhood passions and interests, gain new perspectives, support one another, and work together on common issues. Some of our ongoing projects include the Davidson County Good Neighbor Day Festival, Neighborhood Passions Affinity Network, C4N Nashville, and the State of Metro Neighborhoods project.

CONSULTATION, FACILITATION, AND MEDIATION: We consult with neighborhood organizations on a wide range of issues including neighborhood safety; gentrification and affordable housing; diversity and inclusion; neighborhood preservation; disaster preparedness, response, and recovery; and, ensuring equity in government representation and services.  We assist residents in forming new, and restarting inactive, neighborhood organizations. We provide technical support for neighborhood organizations seeking to create association charters and bylaws, strategic plans, and neighborhood planning and development. 

Last year, we worked with residents in over 161 neighborhoods across Davidson County. Our program participants tell us we are making a difference in their work in neighborhoods across the metropolitan area. We provide them with first-hand knowledge and materials to assist them in neighborhood organizing and leadership. We inspire and rejuvenate participants seeking to create positive change in their own neighborhoods. We increase the capacity of participants to perform leadership roles at the local neighborhood level and even beyond. And, we connect participants with other neighborhood leaders and community partners.

CreatiVets is a 501(c)3, veteran non-profit organization that helps veterans suffering from unseen wounds of war such as PTS, traumatic brain injuries, depression, etc. through the healing power of art.

The goal of Phreedom Foundation is to spark an open dialogue about digital wellness and screen addiction in all ages and communities, in schools and businesses, and in parents, couples, professionals, and grandparents.

Our goals:

- Restore the beauty of human connection over digital connections.

- Reclaim time and attention.

- Educate families about the impact of early and prolonged exposure to internet on a child’s development.

- Empower teenagers and young adults to interact safely online, while nurturing their mental health in the offline world.

- Restore the joy of relationships by fostering media-free family time.

- Boost productivity and efficiency in workspace by minimizing digital distractions.

- Encourage people to assess their relationship with their smartphones, video

The Jewish Federation of Nashville is the central voluntary communal organization of the Jewish community. Through its fund-raising, planning and community relations efforts, either independently or in partnership with other Jewish organizations, the Federation works to promote the general welfare, viability and cohesiveness of the Jewish community of Nashville and Middle TN and to ensure the continuity of the Jewish people locally, in Israel and around the world.

Founded in 1998, Rise Against Hunger works in countries worldwide to fight hunger, targeting communities facing high rates of food insecurity. Our impact starts with a meal — and it leads to resilience, self-sufficiency, education, empowerment and bright futures in communities worldwide. 

Through a global network based in the U.S. and with six international offices, we provide volunteer-packaged meals and other assistance, often through school feeding programs, to support nutrition, education and health for children and families facing hunger right now. Rise Against Hunger has facilitated volunteer packaging of more than 600 million meals to be distributed to countries around the world.

Driving Rise Against Hunger’s work is the recognition that ending global hunger is more than just feeding people. In addition to providing immediate nourishment, we also partner with local leaders to implement sustainable agriculture and income-generating projects that support long-term solutions to food security and empower communities to become self-reliant and thrive.
