Very impressed with this restaurant. Food tasted amazing. Some of the best rolls, chicken fried steak, and ribs I've ever had.
This isn't the place to solo-dine, since everything is served family style. The table chooses how many entrees and sides they want, and everyone pays a fixed price. The entrees and sides are brought out and are bottomless. If you're looking for a more traditional dining experience, this probably isn't for you, but if you have at least two people it works fine. The quality of the food makes up for it.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Thank you for coming in!

First off, this is not a place to dine solo. You must order "family style" which includes 2 mains, & 4 sides. Obviously this was entirely too much good for one person.
When I asked for a to-go box (thinking I could finish it later) I was informed that to go boxes were not available. Ok then..
Finally, the food was mediocre at best. Catfish was not crispy and the creamed potatoes were disappointing, I was very underwhelmedHelpful 2Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lynda B.Gallatin, TN9955Nov 18, 2023
Underwhelmed just by simple courtesy of the welcoming staff. No reservations, no phone ahead waiting. They herd people. No welcome, no kindness, no " how are you today" then after you wait they shout... to you for your seating
Our server was wonderful but the greeters and hostess were not. The gift shop is way overpriced and most items there are not even "Paula Deen" alot of them are things from China and way...way overpriced. Not Paula Deen, just generic, " southern stamped" things
You can buy almost anything from the "Paula Deen" gift store off of Amazon for much much less. Womens bathroom was out of toilet paper and gift shop person was notified by two different ladies who left the restroom and both ladies were told by the staff who they notified that they will take care of it if they ever get a minute to "leave the register" Really? You mean to tell me there is no protocol or PHONE BY THE REGISTER where staff can call someone for any need that must be met? Paula Deen can't afford a staff phone? Unreal response to customers.
Food was nothing special at all. Chicken breading was wet and moist. Not crispy. Same for the catfish. Mac and cheese was not tasty. Honestly this is nothing special, very over priced and more of a tourist trap then a recommended place. Nashville area has lots of great places. In my opinion and for all the reasons I have explained, this is NOT one of them. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere. Obviously, Paula Deen makes money on her name but doesn't demand good quality or great customer service. We would not go back and I would not recommend Paula Deen's to anyone.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1Business owner information

It was our first time here and we were visiting Nashville so we thought to give it a try. It was a beautiful restaurant and you have a view of the beautiful river. The service was awesome and they are very friendly. Hannah was great! The biscuits are thick, the food had good flavor and the dessert was great. The amount of food for $19 is really good!

We are so glad you enjoyed!

Service was fantastic, and our servicer was very upbeat and gave a huge positive vibe. The food was a letdown. We ordered their 2 superstar recommendations on their menu, and both were just super salty and not great. My coworker even said, "Is it sad the beat thing is the poppy seed side salad" We had the cobbler for dessert, and I felt like they poured butter on top to make it the Paula Deen way.... should have had some lobster to dip it in! Well, I learned my lesson once again for not reading reviews. One more checked off forever.... don't make my mistake and go to the many other better options close by.

My family, fiancé and I had just eaten lunch in the area and were looking for somewhere to stop for dessert, specifically peach cobbler. Paula Deen's popped up on our search so we decided to give it a try!
First off I'll say the ambiance of the place is very fancy. Not five star steakhouse fancy, but an afternoon at the country club type of fancy. Like I could feel the privilege type of vibe from the restaurant. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing but take it how you wish.
We were seated right away since we stopped by at off hours and on a weekday so it wasn't too busy. When our waiter came by to get our order we let him know we were only there for dessert and ordered our peach cobblers. I believe my sister and her husband got the butter cake and a peach cobbler as well.
Unfortunately the waiter misunderstood when I ordered and gave my fiancé and I each a peach cobbler when I had only wanted one to share. I'd definitely say one is big enough for two, depending on how hungry you are. If you've just finished a meal like we had then one is plenty to share.
I wish they offered a La mode with their desserts. Ice cream on top of the cobbler would have been amazing. I would say the peaches were just ok, didn't taste like they added any cinnamon or some type of sweetener to enhance the flavor. It was a bit bland. I felt like there was something lacking.
Honestly nothing else on the menu really stuck out at me when I skimmed it. I probably wouldn't come back because the vibe of the restaurant personally isn't my type of place. I did like the storefront they have when you first walk in though. They sell a lot of Paula Deen merch and cute farmhouse type of decor. Paula Deen even has a vending machine full of mid-priced jewelry which I thought was interesting.
It's a cool place to stop at maybe once but due to the lack of flavor in their dish I wouldn't really be interested in returning.Helpful 28Thanks 2Love this 21Oh no 2Business owner information

Southern hospitality is NO JOKE! I loved everything about this place. Super friendly people. Excellent menu choices. And an adorable store to top it off.
My friends and I had the 2 mains and 4 sides option and it was DELICIOUS.
Mains - chicken and dumplings, beef pot roast
Sides - Mac and cheese, smashed potatoes, candied yams, creamed corn
It also came with biscuits and dessert.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Hi, Ria! We certainly thank you for visiting. Come back soon!
- Kristie N.MI, MI04897Mar 30, 2024
Honestly over priced. Would not go again. Went for the name and honestly had better food at other places. Meatloaf was good. Biscuit was great! I've had better yams. The potato's were in my opinion too "creamy". Peach cobbler was so plan had no flavor. It's pretty building. Waiter was a bit slow and not busy.

First off, I like Paula Dean, however, I have to assume she hasn't eaten at this restaurant. The food was mediocre at best. Fried chicken wasn't close to crispy. Breading was saturated with grease as though the oil wasn't hot enough for frying. Meatloaf was over salted, and needed more vinegar in the sauce to cut through the richness. Vegetables were over-cooked or had just been sitting out too long. Desserts were over-poweringly sweet. I expected higher quality food at a place with Paula Deans name on it! I hate to say it, but KFC and Popeyes serves fresher food.
