Join us to hear from Frank Fischer, CEO of Volkswagen Group of America's Chattanooga operations. Volkswagen, the world's third-largest automaker, opened their only American manufacturing plant in Chattanooga in April 2011, investing $1 billion in Tennessee. In December 2011, the assembly plant became the first auto plant in the world to attain LEED platinum certification. Fischer will cover not only the growth and success of the plant, but lessons learned that will be applicable to other businesses.
Fischer, a native of Germany, has been with Volkswagen since 1991, serving as a production manager and a plant manager before being named CEO of Chattanooga operations in 2008.
