Event Description: At 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 9, the Nashville and Spring Hill based William Edge Salons and Spas are having a launch party to announce their partnership with the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, making the pledge that ‘Every Service Serves a Child.’ The morning will consist of testimonial and a performance from Katie Roy, a patient of the hospital. Katie is 18-years old and was diagnosed with cystinosis, a disease that claimed the life of her mother’s three siblings, at age 3. She will be singing and playing guitar for a sidewalk audience, after having received a morning of hair and makeup provided by the William Edge team. Jenni Kloete (Katie’s mother who donated one of her kidneys to her daughter) will be receiving spa services and getting pampered simultaneously. The purpose of the event is to encourage the community to get more involved in the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt by volunteering, advocating, or donating. The William Edge team will be joined by Chamber of Commerce and Monroe Carell Jr. representatives, along with local musicians and advocates for the announcement. From 5:00p.m. to 10:00p.m. William Edge Salon will be offering 20% off of services booked, drawings for a series of complimentary hair and spa services for a year, entertainment by local musicians, food, cocktails, a live photoshoot, and an opportunity to donate personally to the cause.
