The Interactive Media Meet-up is comprised of like-minded Chamber members who meet to discuss trends, challenges, ideas and thoughts. These topic-driven meetings give members the opportunity to develop connections with colleagues while learning about trends and applications in web and mobile technology.
Interactive media use technology as the hub for marketing, communication and information flow. This group will meet monthly to focus on the strategic uses of interactive media for companies of all sizes, including social media, websites, sales automation, online user experience and client retention.
Conversation Starter: Todd Bowman, SnapShot Interactive
Featured Speaker: Bill Tallent, Mercury Intermedia
Bill Tallent is CEO of Mercury Intermedia, a 17-year-old Brentwood company formed at the dawn of the commercial Internet. Mercury has won Emmy and Addy awards for its work building apps for companies such as Comcast, TED, USA Today, Washington Post, SAP and many others. Its specialty is building user interfaces that drive user satisfaction and, therefore, high utilization numbers. Since Tallent's background in tech dates back to 1962, he's well qualified to set mobile in a historical context that will help predict the future for this technology.
Featured Topic: Current Trends in Mobile
Mobile is one of the largest and fastest-growing sectors in the technology industry, and it's rapidly evolving. Mercury Intermedia builds apps for iOS, Android and Windows platforms for some of the nation's largest companies. This talk will focus on trends in mobile to help us all be better prepared to take advantage of this game-changing technology.
