The Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and Partnership 2020 Investors invite you to our 2011 Annual Meeting.

Join us at Rocketown for a multimedia presentation celebrating the accomplishments of the past year and the opportunities of the year to come. The Chamber will lay out its blueprint for creating prosperity using Partnership 2020’s key strategic initiatives of economic diversity, talent development, livability and regionalism.

Program includes:

  • A nationally recognized speaker - Joel Kotkin
  • Economic highlights of the 2010-2011 fiscal year
  • Recognition of the "Spirit of the Chamber" award recipients

We are excited to welcome Joel Kotkin to our 2011 Annual Meeting. Kotkin has been one of the nation's most prolific and widely published journalists for more than three decades. He currently writes the weekly “New Geographer” column for Forbes.com, in which Nashville has received recent accolades that include "The Next Big Boom Towns in the U.S." (No. 3); "The Best Big Cities for Jobs" (No. 8); and "The Best Cities For Minority Entrepreneurs" (No. 3). He is a leading expert on the evolution of cities and towns and writes and speaks on their problems, opportunities, and their likely future. Most recently, he has authored the book The Next Hundred Million: America in 2050, which details how the population growth of one hundred million in the next 40 years will change the landscape of cities and towns throughout the nation.

With the new Partnership 2020 regional economic development plan underway, Kotkin will bring a national and international perspective to many of the challenges and opportunities we are addressing in the plan and will share insights about how the Nashville region fits into today’s global economy.
