Metro Council Bill 2011-838 is up for third and final reading on Tuesday, April 5. If the bill is passed, it will require Metro government vendors to extend nondiscrimination to include sexual orientation/gender identity in their personnel policies. To provide an opportunity for current or future Metro vendors to better understand the potential impact of the bill, the Chamber is holding a briefing about the bill and what businesses need to know about compliance requirements and processes.
This briefing will also be an opportunity for businesses to hear from and share comments with Metro leaders related to the bill and its implementation as well as ask questions of labor law experts.
