Professor Takashi Terada will address economic relations between the U.S., Japan and Asia Pacific with a specific focus on APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation), which the U.S. will host this year for the first time since 1993. APEC’s 21 member economies today account for 55 percent of global GDP, purchase 58 percent of U.S. goods exports, and comprise a market of 2.7 billion consumers. Seven of America’s top 15 trade partners are
in APEC.
