With this being the first week following the holiday season, we have experienced some delays in being able to coordinate all the resources we wanted to provide for this January meeting. Please be advised we will cancel the Sustainability and Green Practices Shared Interest Group originally scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 6 from 8:30-10 a.m. We want to use your time wisely and provide valuable takeaways and believe it is best to reconvene in February.
Please mark your calendars for Thursday, Feb. 3 from 8:30 – 10 a.m. A topic and location will be confirmed soon, and another email will follow with that information.
Shared Interest Groups (SIGs) are comprised of Chamber members with similar interests who meet to discuss trends, challenges, ideas and thoughts. SIGs give members the opportunity to learn, network and develop long-term, meaningful relationships in a casual setting that promotes conversation and camaraderie. SIGs will be formed without regard to geographical boundaries and will be guided by “conversation starters.”
Sustainability and green practices can eliminate waste, decrease consumption of valuable resources and help propel the growth of the company. This group will discuss key benefits, applications, issues and considerations for incorporating green practices into your business plan.
Conversation Starters: Tiffany Wilmot, owner of green consulting company Wilmot Inc., and Mike Blosser, LP Building Products vice president of environment, health and safety.
