Event Description: Registration has been closed in preparation for the event. You may late register at the door on Wednesday beginning at 8 a.m.

The initial topic for the newly launched Issue Insights Coffee program is mobility and congestion, which is a topic of increasing interest and importance to our regional business community.

Michael Skipper, executive director of the Nashville Area Metropolitan Planning Organization, will discuss the process and details of the update to the existing Regional Transportation Plan, which establishes regional goals, policies, and objectives for the enhancement of the transportation system in the greater Nashville area.

Ed Cole, executive director of the newly formed Transit Alliance of Middle Tennessee, will share an update on his organization -- which was formed following the Chamber's 2009 Leadership Study Mission to Denver -- and its efforts to educate and involve community and business leaders in the plan and steps to fund and move a final plan forward.

The Issue Insights Coffee is a great opportunity for business leaders to provide input and feedback about the issues of transit and mobility and how our region can best address solutions to congestion.

The event is free, but registration is required.
