Shared Interest Groups (SIGs) are comprised of Chamber members with similar interests who meet to discuss trends, challenges, ideas and thoughts. SIGs give members the opportunity to learn, network and develop long-term, meaningful relationships in a casual setting that promotes conversation and camaraderie. SIGs will be formed without regard to geographical boundaries and will be guided by “conversation starters.”
Social and online media are here to stay. This group will focus on the applications of social media for small business owners. Topics of interest will be decided by the group, and special guests may be invited to share their expertise accordingly.

Featured Speaker: Mike Machak, Director of Public Relations, Crye-Leike Relators; Mike Machak is a former television news reporter who has served as the Director of Public Relations for Crye-Leike Realtors since August 2007. Mike creates, pitches and submits company news and information to every available new and traditional print and broadcast media platform and outlet available across the company’s nine ‘southern state’ region and beyond.
Internally, Mike works closely with company marketing directors to generate content and branding messages. He embraces new technology too, managing the company’s presence on social media sites like facebook, linkedin and twitter, producing podcasts and monthly e-newsletters to both consumers and employees.
Mike's twenty-year career in television news took him from El Paso, Texas to Jacksonville, Orlando, and Tampa, FL before finally landing in Nashville.
