Event Description: Chairman-Elect of the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, Darrell Freeman, Sr., will lead a delegation of over 100 business CEOs and community and Middle Tennessee regional leaders on the Chamber’s Fifteenth Annual InterCity Visit.

Our itinerary for this three-day, two-night visit focuses on how Chicago, a city that is famous for “making no small plans”, faces the continuing process of smart regional and central area planning, through a commitment to maintaining its status as a world class city. We will hear first hand from Chicago’s key leaders about the many issues affecting their city. Our agenda will allow us to study Chicago’s world class architecture and real estate development. We will hear about the public school system’s challenges and the solutions they are implementing. We will take an in depth look at the largest convention center in the United States. We will hear the story of Millennium Park, the $426 million park recently opened in the heart of the City. We will look at Chicago’s transit system, regional planning efforts, and get an overall sense of what makes Chicago work. And you might even be able to fit in some baseball on your free time.

The cost of the visit will be $2,195 which includes airfare, hotel accommodations, most meals, ground transportation and other visit materials.
