Event Description: HR professionals need to respond to the social and communication changes that wide community usage of Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and blogs bring to the workplace. Learn how to embrace the trend of using social media and Web 2.0 to enhance people-management strategies.

Join us for an interactive workshop covering the following topics:

Social media 101

What are the 2.0 tools, and what is next?

Using social media to enhance people strategies such as recruiting, onboarding, employee engagement, employee development, collaboration, and idea generation.

The realities of leveraging technology.

The speakers for this HR Building Blocks Workshop will be Donna Yurdin and Thao Nelson with Credo Management Consulting.

Donna Yurdin, MA, SPHR has more than 25 years' experience in human resource management and organizational development, most recently leading the organizational effectiveness department for HCA. Donna has been a speaker for national audiences on the topic of workforce development.

Thao Nelson brings a wide range of experience in project management, recruitment, organizational and workforce development. Her recent engagements have included assisting clients with social media strategies, selection systems, planning for workforce and economic strategy, performance management and federal grant administration.

HRCI has awarded this program 2 hours of general recertification credit.

Exit onto Fesslers Lane (Exit 212). Turn right onto Murfreesboro Road, go four blocks to the campus entryway at the traffic light. Turn left into the campus (across from Purity Dairy).

From the east (Knoxville, I-40)
Continue I-40 West to Spence Lane (Exit 213). From the exit ramp turn left onto Spence Lane. Turn right onto Murfreesboro Road. The campus is 1.7 miles down Murfreesboro Road. Enter the campus through the main entry (across from Purity Dairy).

From the east (Chattanooga, I-24)
Continue I-24 West to Murfreesboro Road (Exit 52). Turn left onto Murfreesboro Road. The campus is 1.7 miles down Murfreesboro Road. Enter the campus through the main entry (across from Purity Dairy).

From the west (Memphis, I-40)
Continue I-40 East to I-440 East, to Murfreesboro Road (Exit 52). Turn left onto Murfreesboro Road. The campus is 1.7 miles down Murfreesboro Road. Enter the campus through the main entry (across from Purity Dairy).

From the south (Birmingham, I-65)
