For the past four years, Governor Phil Bredesen has addressed business leaders about the state of Tennessee's economy at the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce's annual Outlook Tennessee event.
In his seventh State of the State Address presented in February, Bredesen acknowledged the impact of the national economy on the state and outlined steps to ensure Tennessee's financial position remains strong while addressing the basic issues of education, job creation and health care.
With the anticipated release of the 2009-2010 state budget on March 23, Outlook Tennessee will provide a timely opportunity for the Nashville-area business community to hear from the governor about Tennessee's economic climate and plans for moving our state forward in the next fiscal year.
