Event Description:

Are you interested in hosting interns, but have no idea how to start the process?

Do you already have interns, and want to improve your program?

Have you heard about the Nashville Technology Council's new initiative, Turning the Tide of Technology (T3), but don’t know what it’s about?

Are you already participating in the initiative, but want to know more about the programs we’re implementing?

If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, the NTC & Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce T3/InternNashville Event is a must-attend event for you!

Agenda:

4:30 p.m. - InternNashville: Presentation of InternGuide
This newly released guide will aid in developing a new or improving an existing intern program of any size. This resource also includes samples to use in your own company, such as internship descriptions, surveys, intern handbooks and more.

5 p.m. - T3 Initiative Update
You will hear from a T3 participant about what programs have been implemented, and how you can get involved in this important initiative.

5:20 p.m. - Business Perspective
You will hear from a company that has been involved in T3 and has experience implementing an intern program.

5:30 p.m. - Academic Perspective
You will hear from two academic leaders on why they and their organizations are involved in the T3 initiative, and why it is so important to them. You will also hear about the technology programs that are offered at their institutions.

5:40 p.m. - Networking & Questions
Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase additional copies of the InternNashville Employer Resource Guide, with a special section devoted to the unique needs of technology companies. The leaders of the T3 solution teams will also be available to answer your questions about the initiative.

6 p.m. - Adjourn

Cost:

$30 - Admission into the event and a copy of the Chamber's InternNashville Employer Resource Guide, which will include a special section of information targeting technology. This guide normally retails alone for $35.

$10 - Admission into the event only
