Event Description: Read Across America is a national event that celebrates reading for our children. It usually takes place the week of Dr. Seuss’ birthday. This year is it Feb 26- Mar 2. Mar. 2 is Dr. Seuss’ birthday. At J E Moss, this year, our theme is Dr. Seuss’ book Oh, The Places You’ll Go and we are talking about careers.

We are trying to get people of different jobs to come in and read to our students and then do a short Q and A about their job. We have a schedule set up for people to read to the related arts classes in the library. We do not expect the readers to read for the whole hour slot. We are interested in having them read 1 book (we will provide a selection) and answer a few questions about their job. We can have more than one reader in an hour slot. In addition we are looking for readers that are interested in going into classrooms to read to an individual class.
