Event Description: Join the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC) and local partners to "Save the Food" at a free informational event from 5:30-8 p.m. on Oct. 6 at the Nashville Farmers’ Market. TDEC, Metro Nashville Public Works and other partners invite the public to learn and collaborate around the growing issue of food waste.

Additional event partners include The Compost Company, which is composting all appropriate waste from the event; Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee; The Nashville Food Waste Initiative, a project of the Natural Resources Defense Council; and Metro Department of General Services’ Socket Unplug Nashville program.



Directions:
The event will take place at the Nashville Farmers' Market. Additional parking is available at surrounding state parking lots.
