Event Description: The American Cancer Society Memorial Foundation Hope Lodge is a home away from home for cancer patients near and far who may be traveling to the great city of Nashville, Tennessee for treatment. A top financial burden cancer patients face is the expenses traveling to and from treatment. The American Cancer Society’s mission is to not only find cures, but to help eliminate as many burdens to fighting cancer as possible, and providing free lodging in the middle of the Nashville medical center is vital.

The Hope Lodge hosts hundreds of patients and their caregivers throughout the year. They travel to Nashville from across Middle Tennessee and the entire nation. Hope Lodge patients and caregivers find a sense of community, whether they are undergoing treatment or helping a loved one, residents find support and help from each other and the community the entire duration of their stay.

This year, The American Cancer Society is hosting its first “Hope Lights The Season” event, in order to Celebrate, Remember and Honor the thousands of patients, caregivers, volunteers and supporters of the Hope Lodge, as well as raising awareness and funds so that the American Cancer Society can continue to provide this vital program for cancer patients and their loved ones.

The Hope Lodge and entire Nashville community will have the opportunity to support the services provided through this program by purchasing individual or strands of Christmas lights that will help create a brighter holiday season for Hope Lodge guests in December, as well as provide an opportunity to Celebrate, Remember and Honor family, friends and caregivers who have been touched by cancer. We are inviting you to be part of the American Cancer Society Hope Lights the Season by supporting and embracing this season-long symbol of Hope, Courage and Inspiration for everyone touched by cancer.
