Event Description:

Small business owners have an opportunity to discuss concerns about federal regulatory compliance and enforcement issues during this Forum.


Who: SBA’s National Ombudsman, Nicholas M. Owens, and members of the Regional Regulatory Fairness Board will meet with community leaders, members of trade and business associations, and small business owners to discuss concerns about federal regulatory compliance and enforcement in the region.

What: To create a more cooperative regulatory environment among federal agencies and small businesses, Congress has directed the SBA and the National Ombudsman to hold Regulatory Fairness hearings. Concerns and complaints aired at this forum will be directed to the appropriate federal regulatory agency. Testimonies gathered at these hearings are also reported to Congress.

Where: BellSouth Economic Development Center– Theater (2nd Floor)

When: Wednesday, January 17, 2007 9:45am – Noon
