Event Description: Amy Grant has been named the 2015 laureate of The Phoenix Club Nashville Business Hall of Fame hosted by and benefiting Junior Achievement of Middle Tennessee (JA). To be held on Thursday, October 29, this distinguished annual event recognizes the city’s outstanding contributors to business and philanthropy. The Phoenix Club of Nashville, Corrections Corporation of America (CCA) and Pinnacle Financial Partners are sponsoring the event. Selected by the Nashville Business Hall of Fame Committee for dedication to strong business practices and extensive involvement in the Nashville community, this honor will place Grant among other well-respected Nashvillians. The committee is chaired by past Nashville Business Hall of Fame inductees: Joe Scarlett, Ron Samuels, Hal Pennington, Mark Emkes, Rob McCabe and Jack Bovender, Jr. Additional notable members include: Lee Beaman, Frances Preston, Clayton McWhorter, former Governor Phil Bredesen, the late Ambassador Joe M. Rodgers and Jimmy Webb, among others. The event will be held at Loews Vanderbilt Hotel. A 6 p.m. cocktail reception will begin the evening followed by dinner at 7 p.m. with a keynote speech by Grant. Tables of 10 are available for $2,500, with half-tables available for $1,250. Individual seats are $250. All proceeds will benefit JA of Middle Tennessee.
