The Board of Governors of the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce cordially invites all members to the 160th Annual Membership Meeting. This will be a time to celebrate accomplishments, recognize the leaders in the Chamber and honor our Volunteers of the Year for their outstanding contributions to our community.

We are honored to have Coach Ken Carter as the keynote speaker for the 2007 Annual Membership Meeting.

Coach Carter is best known for his controversial decision to bench the undefeated basketball team at Richmond High School in 1999, due to unsatisfactory academic progress. This bold statement spurred the creation of the 2005 Paramount Pictures movie, Coach Carter.

Coach Carter is a youth advocate, supporter of education, and aims to make a difference in the community. He is also founder and chairman of the Coach Ken Carter Foundation.

At the annual meeting, he will discuss the roles and responsibilities that businesses have in strengthening the public education system and how their involvement can help improve the community as a whole.

No confirmation is sent prior to the event.

Directions:
Take I-40 to Exit 209A (Broadway). Turn east on Broadway, towards Riverfront. Take a left on 7th Avenue. Go one block to Commerce Street. The Renaissance Hotel is on the corner of 7th Avenue and Commerce Street.

Parking:
Parking is available in garages and surface lots
along Commerce Street. Average cost will be $5.
