Event Description: Your School Can Do Good…

Be Creative. Support Your Local Food Bank. Win $2,500!

Can Do Good is a social design-build competition among high school students across the Southeast. Steered by Architecture and Engineering firm Goodwyn, Mills and Cawood, high school teams organize canned food drives and then create artistic structures from the collected goods and/or non-perishable items that are then donated to their local food banks.

This year, we CAN DO more. We have expanded the competition to have an even greater impact across the Southeast! The Call for Entries is open to all high schools in Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee to find out which state CAN DO the best, and one school from each state will advance to the Southeast Can Do Good Final Competition.

Goodwyn, Mills and Cawood will match the winning school’s donation in each state and present the overall winner for BEST Can-structure in the Southeast with a check for $2,500!

Important Dates & Deadlines:
Entry forms due: Oct. 10, 2013 (further instructions will be sent once your school’s entry form is submitted)
Structure submission due: Dec. 10, 2013 (photo & description)
Online voting to determine state winners: Dec. 12, 2013 – Jan. 16, 2014
Winner of $2,500 announced: Jan. 23, 2014
