Event Description: Heroes Breakfast 2013 - Honor our community's veterans by supporting Operation Stand Down Nashville, Inc., the primary nonprofit resource for veterans in Tennessee. OSDN is the ONLY Veteran Service Center in Tennessee. Our clients are honorably discharged male and female veterans. OSDN's goal is to give veterans in need the tools to rejoin their community as productive, responsible citizens. Keynote Speaker: Tony Mendez - retired CIA Operative and author of "Master of Disguise," a description of how Mendez led the rescue of six US diplomats from Tehran, Iran during the 1979 Iranian Hostage Crisis. The Oscar winning Best Picture "Argo" is based on Tony's book. Honorary Chair: Ronnie McDowell - well-known Country Music Artist who started singing publicly while serving in the Navy. One of Ronnie's biggest hits is "The King is Gone," a tribute to Elvis Presley. Registration begins at 8 am and breakfast begins at 9 am.
