IBC Event- Tennesee Exports to China: 2022 Export Report Highlights

The Nashville IBC, in partnership with the TN-China Network, the US-China Business Council, the US Commercial Service of Tennessee, the Knoxville Chamber, and the Chattanooga IBC, invites you to join us in-person or virtually for a conversation on Tennessee exports to China.

Each year, the US-China Business Council tracks the latest trends in US goods and services exports to China, looking at how trade policy and other developments impact the commercial relationship. This report features detailed overviews of every state and congressional district’s unique export relationship with China, as well as the number of American jobs that are supported by those exports.

In this event, USCBC director of subnational initiatives, Elizabeth Rowland, will analyze trends in last year’s national export data as well as go into detail on state and congressional district-level export data for Tennessee. We will also hear from Tom Forsythe, Executive Vice President of Kyzen. He will provide a case study on entering the China market in 1994, starting with working through distributors, then growing sales to 20 percent of the international business.

Following their presentations, Elizabeth and and Tom will be joined by USCBC Vice President David Thomas. They will answer questions from the audience on the report, exporting to China, and the latest developments in US-China relations.
