Event Description: The prelude to the Battle of Franklin, this battle was fought on November 29, 1864. The main fight was preceded by cavalry skirmishing between Confederate Lt. Gen. Nathan Bedford Forrest and Union Brig. Gen. James H. Wilson.In honor of the 151st anniversary, of the Battle of Franklin,The Battle of Franklin Trust offering a special am Spring Hill Battlefield 90 minute walking tour to see how it lead the very intense battle in Franklin the very next day, November 30, 1864. The cost will be $25/person. Each attendee will also get one free classic house tour admission to either Carter House or Carnton (their choice)
