WELCOME TO PICCOLO FARMS!

TOURS

Private tours are available by appointment only. We kindly request a donation of $200 per hour for these exclusive experiences.

Each tour can accommodate a maximum of 10 people, and we ask for a minimum of 72 hours' notice to schedule your visit.

PREPARE FOR YOUR VISIT

  1. We recommend you wear (close-toed) shoes and clothing that you don’t mind getting a little dirty.

  2. If you bring a picnic or food for your event, please refrain from bringing meat. We are a certified vegetarian venue.

  3. While we love dogs, it would be best to leave them at home.

  4. If you’d like to bring snacks for the animals, you can, but we would need to feed them to the animals during their regular meal time so as not to cause chaos :) They like carrots, bananas, apples, pumpkins, and celery.

  5. No balloons, please!

ABOUT US!

THE CARETAKERS

We are Jeff and Bonnie Glueck.

We established Piccolo Farms in May of 2018. What started as an innocent desire for more space and relief from the hustle and bustle of East Nashville, quickly took on a life of its own.

We arrived here in Whites Creek with just four goats and our dogs. We quickly grew as word of mouth grew and our non-profit was born.

We are passionate animal advocates and believe all animals are deserving of love and purpose. We are driven by Proverbs 24:11, and work tirelessly to provide all of our residents with a loving forever home. Love truly lives here on Piccolo Farms.

Piccolo Farms Animal Sanctuary is

  • A registered 501(c)3 non-profit

  • 15 minutes north of Nashville, TN

  • 100% donor funded

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

DO YOU SELL THE ANIMALS OR CAN I BUY/ADOPT AN ANIMAL?

The animals at Piccolo Farms come to live out the rest of their lives in a safe and loving home. They deserve to have a forever home without the trauma of changing locations, getting a new routine, getting used to new faces, and more. Many come from traumatic existences so we want to maintain consistency to build trust.

CAN I JUST POP IN FOR A QUICK VISIT?

You are welcome to come during Open Farm days (announced on our social media), or schedule a private tour! Scroll up for more information.

WHERE DOES MY DONATION GO?

99% of your donation goes to direct feed and care of the animals. We have no paid employees, the overhead is basic utilities, website, and maintenance. Your donation goes so far.

SHOULD I START MY OWN ANIMAL SANCTUARY? I LOVE ANIMALS!

This is a lifelong calling that has caused us to sacrifice so much of a ‘normal’ life to maintain. We love our work but it is hard work. It’s emotionally and physically challenging. We recommend reaching out about volunteering first to see what it’s like first hand.

SHOULD I GET A PIG AS A PET?

No, stick with a dog or cat. :)

  • If you’re prepared to basically have a human baby, provide the outdoor space and socialization needed, and to have an animal who may grow upwards of hundreds of pounds, than maybe… Most pigs don’t stay small even if breeders claim they will. Pigs have the intelligence level of a four-year-old child. They can be highly destructive and are emotionally intelligent animals who require specialized spaces to live a healthy life free of boredom.

WHY CAN’T I BRING MEAT TO EAT FOR A PICNIC OR FOR THE FOOD AT MY EVENT?

We are a certified vegetarian venue.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO COME VISIT?

For Open Farm days, we request a minimum donation $30 per family. For private tours, it’s a minimum donation of $200 per hour for up to ten people.
