Tennessee’s presidential primary will be held on March 1, and according to Politico, Tennessee “could hold the key” for the ultimate winner of the 2016 presidential nominee for both parties.

Please join the Nashville Chamber of Commerce and Mercury for a bipartisan discussion and Q&A about the 2016 presidential primaries and the impact the next president and Congress will have on the business and health care environment internationally, domestically and in Nashville.


Panelists:
  • John Geer is the Gertrude Conaway Vanderbilt Professor of Political Science, co-director of the Vanderbilt Poll, and vice provost of academic and strategic affairs for Vanderbilt University.
  • Vin Weber served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1981 to 1993, representing Minnesota's 2nd Congressional District. He was a member of the Appropriations Committee and an elected member of the House Republican leadership. Washingtonian magazine named him No. 5 in their list of Washington's 50 top lobbyists. He is a partner at Mercury in Washington, D.C.
  • Kirill Goncharenko is President and a founding partner of Mercury, where he leads a team of high-level, bipartisan public affairs experts and government relations professionals the United States. He also leads a bipartisan network of over 500 political and grassroots operatives in all 50 states.

The Baker Donelson Special Event Center is located in the Baker Donelson building on the corner of 3rd Avenue and Commerce Street.  The parking garage entrance is between Commerce and Broadway streets on 3rd Avenue, directly behind the FedEx office.  When you pull in the garage, please park and take the Commerce Street elevators to the first floor.  Please park in any slot, as the numbered spots are not reserved.  Bring your ticket with you for validation.
