To help you build your business, the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce is kicking off new professional development workshops in partnership with c3/consulting. Ideal for teams or individuals, these full- and half-day workshops will help your organization increase productivity, improve collaboration, enhance leadership skills and learn techniques for strategic planning. Join us on Friday, June 13, for Negotiation: Strategies to Build your Business.
Participants will learn a method called “mutual gains negotiation,” a framework that combines the successful strategies of experienced negotiators with proven theory to help:
- Prepare for negotiations more effectively
- Focus on problems and not on personalities
- Avoid typical “win-lose” situations
- Deal better with those who play outside the rules
Participants will become more proficient in long-term decision making; enhance their leadership skills, and more easily reach consensus. This is a pragmatic negotiation process which allows people to deal with the kinds of complex problems organizations face every day.
Full-day course: 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. (lunch included)
$600 per person for Chamber members
$750 per person for future members
Instructor: Dr. Susan Williams, professor emerita of management, Jack C. Massey Graduate School of Business, Belmont University
